Rano emphasized that the Jakarta Provincial Government has never prohibited residents from using private vehicles for daily activities. However, he assured that Jakarta's public transportation will provide comfort, convenience, and a traffic-free environment, making travel times more manageable and reducing vehicle emissions.

To encourage residents to use public transportation, Rano added, from September 16 to 23, 2026, the Jakarta Provincial Government applies a fare of Rp 8 for residents using the LRT on the Kelapa Gading - Manggarai route.
"The policy implemented is a promotional effort and to give the public the opportunity to try out the comfort of the LRT Jakarta," he added.
It is hoped that the comfort and ease of access obtained will encourage people to switch from private vehicles to using public transportation in their daily activities.
